Description
Wells Concrete will discuss how they utilized an insulated wall panel system that spans horizontally to support a precast floor system. After this program, participants will be more familiar with what a total precast concrete structure is, how a total precast structure can benefit a project, and what components are used to construct a total precast structure. Participants will also learn how to manage a successful project.
Presenters:
Ryan Garden has worked for Wells Concrete for a total of 20 years he has held the title of Chief Engineer since 2010. As the Chief Engineer he oversees the drafting and engineering departments at all of our sites. In addition, he spent seven years in the consulting engineering field, which exposed him to a wide variety of building materials and systems. His vast work experiences make him uniquely qualified to evaluate the various projects we encounter and propose the solution best fitting our customers’ needs. Ryan graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Gary Pooley is the Regional Sales Manager for Wells Concrete at our Maple Grove location. With over 25 years of experience in the precast concrete industry, Gary has been involved in the contract development award process on thousands of projects. He is currently active as a board member at the national level of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) where he represents precast providers in the Midwest region. This, combined with being a past board member of the Precast Concrete Institute Midwest, part of the Construction Advisory Group for Dunwoody Institute, and a past board member of the MN Builders Exchange, gives Gary a valuable perspective in our industry.
