Mystic Lake Amphitheater: Structural Design and Engineering Challenges

Description:

The Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, is a 19,000-seat outdoor entertainment venue featuring a distinctive curved steel canopy and a combination of structural systems. This presentation will explore the structural engineering challenges behind the project, with a focus on the canopy's complex geometry, steel design, and the coordination required to balance architectural intent, constructability, and cost.

Presenter:

Adam Lindberg, PE, LEED AP
