SUMMARY:Contractor Safety Panel
DESCRIPTION:Site safety is one of the most important aspects of the construction process. All involved in the process have a moral and ethical duty. Also\, the potential liabilities that can arise from injuries on the construction site can be catastrophic to all involved in the process. This panel will discuss the contractor's roles in site safety and the policies\, tools and methods they use in making construction sites as safe as possible. Though engineers are typically not directly involved in site safety\, in certain situations they may become aware of unsafe conditions that can help protect workers safety and knowing how to react and deal with those situations can be critical to their liability in those cases. Our speakers will cover a gamut of issues relating to site safety\, including:\n\n\n	Safety training\n	Inspectors roles\n	Discipline on the job site\n	Reacting to emergency situations\n	Dealing with safety complaints\n	Safety requirements in contracts\n\n \n\n \n\nThe panel presentation will be given by: Jeremy Hannack of Mortenson\, Larry Warkel of McGough\, and Tom Peterson of VEIT\, and our moderator Brian Pratt\, Ulteig Engineers.
