DESCRIPTION:Join us for the final Leadership Breakfast event of the year\, a panel discussion on the present and future of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) and their impact on society. A roster of national and local experts in the private and public sectors will participate in an hour and a half-long discussion that will include a question and answer session from our moderator and attendees.\n\n\n\nThis event will be held via Zoom from 8:00 am - 9:30 am CST. Attendees will receive the log-in link for this event on Monday\, May 11th ahead of the event.\n\n\n\nPanelists:\n\n\n\nKristin White\, Executive Director for Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) program\, MnDOT\n\n\n\nAs Executive Director of Minnesota's connected and automated vehicle (CAV) program\, Kristin leverages her legal\, policy\, and strategic vision to bring public and private partners together to innovate policy and technology solutions. She leads MnDOT's CAV-X Office and Minnesota's Destination CAV research and testing program to develop strategic\, innovative and collaborative ideas.\n\n\n\n\n\nBarry Einsig\, Principal at Econolite / CAVita\n\n\n\nBarry Einsig is a Principal of Econolite/CAVita Consulting\, responsible for business development and execution of the strategic advisory programs. Einsig joins Econolite/CAVita following six years with Cisco Systems\, Inc.\, where he was an executive responsible for global automotive and transportation solution development. Einsig helped launch Cisco's leading innovative solutions in several new markets\, including connected and automated vehicle\, rail\, roadways\, and mass transit.\n\n\n\n\n\nTammy Russell\, Chief Catalyst\, The Plum Catalyst\n\n\n\nTammy Russel is leader at The Plum Catalyst\, a consultant and business partner helping connect the new Mobility as a Service technologies with the Smart Cities and government agency initiatives\, inspiring the most valuable ideas\, energizing cross-functional teams and translating the industry's technical challenges through step by step\, market by market approaches\n\n\n\n\n\nJim McCarthy\, Federal Highway Administration:\n\n\n\nJim McCarthy is a traffic operations engineer with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in St. Paul\, Minnesota with 38 years of experience.  He has served as FHWA's representative on Transportation Research Board (TRB) committees and taught traffic engineering and road design training classes for the National Highway Institute (NHI).  He currently holds a part-time position in the Minnesota Division and provides expertise in traffic analysis\, traffic operations\, and ITS deployment.
