DESCRIPTION:The American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota is excited to announce that we will be live streaming our January 27th Women in Engineering event\, "Overcoming Imposter Syndrome\," with presenter Laura Boyd\, CEO of Leadership Delta. So why are these negative thoughts and connotations running around in your mind about yourself? These feelings and thoughts of self-doubt\, they aren't true. These feelings and thoughts are called the Imposter Syndrome.\n\n\n\nThe imposter syndrome is a psychological term referring to a pattern of behavior where people doubt their accomplishments and have a persistent\, often internalized fear of being exposed as a fraud\, according to Psychology Today. \n\n\n\nJoin us as Laura dives into what the Imposter Syndrome is\, why we all experience these feelings of doubt in our professional environments and what we can do to overcome these feelings and achieve greater success in our workplaces. \n\n\n\n\n\nPresenter: Laura Boyd\n\n\n\n\n\nLaura has over 20 years of experience working with organizations to help them develop sustainable growth as organizations and the people within. She has been a leader on executive teams for large companies\, emerging companies and non-profits\, as well as\, a business owner. She is now taking her years of experience helping businesses become high performance organizations.  Laura has her Masters in Organizational Leadership and certification in change management.
