Ethan Fogle, PE (VA)
Structural Engineer, HGA
Ethan is a structural engineer with a wide range of experience in many project types including government, corporate, healthcare, and arts facilities. He combines broad technical project experience with expertise in embodied carbon and LCA. He’s passionate about understanding our deep connection to the natural world while actively and creatively reducing the impact of our buildings on the planet. Ethan’s curiosity and collaborative approach deliver thoughtful, inspired, and cost-effective solutions for our clients and project teams. A strong advocate for sustainable design, Ethan is a member of HGA’s Sustainability Steering Committee, HGA’s SE 2050 Embodied Carbon Champion, and a member of the ASCE-SEI Sustainability Committee.
Luke Johnson, SE, PE (IL)
Sustainability Specialist, Nucor
Luke is a seasoned Structural and Sustainability Engineer with two decades of comprehensive industry expertise including new building design, existing building investigations, and structural material sustainability. In February 2022, he brought his wealth of knowledge to Nucor's corporate sustainability team, assuming the role of Sustainability Specialist.
A proud graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Luke is not only a licensed professional but also an active member of multiple industry groups. His dedication extends beyond the workplace; he participates in tradeshows and networking events, enjoying the opportunity to engage with industry peers. Luke's passion for design, architecture, and sustainability is evident in his pursuit of discussions on how steel can emerge as the sustainable material of choice, aligning with your green design goals.

Donn C. Thompson is the Senior Director, Building Innovation for the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. Based in suburban Chicago, he supports the Build with Strength program, demonstrating the first cost and long-term advantages of ready mixed concrete building systems throughout eight Midwest states.
A licensed architect and LEED accredited, Donn has over 43 years of practical experience in design and construction and has worked for the last 23 years in the cement and concrete industry holding a variety of technical, promotion, and sales positions.

Director of Business Development, Cemstone
John D. Lee, P.E. LEED AP® is the Director of Business Development for Cemstone. John has worked for Cemstone a total of 15 years where consults with owners, specifiers, contractors and municipalities in further establishing concrete as the material of choice for buildings and pavements as well as promoting Cemstone’s value added products, services and engineering.
John has been in the Twin Cities construction industry for nearly 33 years and also worked for Element Materials, formerly known as Twin City Testing, where he tested and evaluated concrete anchors, concrete fibers and many other building materials.
