Description
This one hour course will focus on a detailed case study of underpinning the 100 year old Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas while it was under renovation in 2019. The $12.7m renovation included a 23,000 square foot subterranean glass addition, a lighted pedestal under the original chapel, a multi-faith meditation room, sacred-arts gallery, and an exterior amphitheater among other upgrades and expansions.
Presenter: Mike Quicksell, Estimator/Project Manager for Veit. Mike is a 2014 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree. Mike has been working in the Foundation Group with Veit since his graduation. Other notable projects that Mike has worked on include the Highway 53 Test Pile Program in Virginia, MN and the Legacy Condominiums foundation and retention system in Minneapolis.
