This course will identify the strengths and limitations of deck connection types and will bring awareness to the most consistent and reliable fastening approach.
The objectives of the course are:
• Identify the factors influencing deck diaphragm design
• Explore the field and jobsite conditions affecting welding performance
• Compare the consistency of deck connection types
• Understand the working principles of mechanical fasteners
