Description
If you work with concrete, you know that cracks are a fact of life. Cracks in concrete can appear in slabs, walls, or beams. Although they can be harmless, some cracks can lead to other, larger problems unless they are repaired. This is especially the case when there is water present. A solution for repairing wet or leaking cracks is to inject with polyurethane expansion resins, or sometimes referred to as chemical grouts. For years now, polyurethane grouts have been used to seal cracks in potable water tanks, waste water treatment plants, below grade walls, large diameter pipes, floors, dams, elevator pits, and swimming pools. While the use of these materials in the construction community is becoming more common, there are still many engineers, contractors, and owners seeking additional information about them.
This presentation will be focused on the following topics:
- Advantages of Polyurethane Expansion Resins versus Conventional Repairs
- Types of Polyurethane Expansion Resins
- Material Properties and Advantages
- Potential Uses
- Installation Procedures
- Project Profiles and Examples
- No-Cost Technical Services
