Description: Learning how to properly model in structural software can save you both time and money. This presentation will cover the common pitfalls of structural modeling, and will include important tips to keep in mind when building models. Also covered will be rules of thumb for FEA plate modeling, as well as methods of integrating/coordinating a structural model between multiple software applications. Expect to learn the best practices to improve the speed and accuracy of your structural designs.
Presenter: Benjamin Follett, PE - RISA Technologies.
Ben Follett is a licensed engineer in Pennsylvania and joined RISA in 2018 as the Product Marketing Manager. In his role, he is involved in all aspects of product marketing and sales while also focused on helping engineering firms streamline and integrate their 3D engineering workflows. Prior to his work in the software industry, he was a structural associate with Michael Baker International, one of the Engineering News Record Top 500 Design Firms.
