Description
The Women In Engineering Series continues in November when Christine Pouliot presents Leading During Disruptive Change.
As consulting engineers, your role is to find opportunities and drive changes that keep businesses competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
One element critical for success and often overlooked is LEADERSHIP. Typically all hands are on deck to focus on executing the logistics - A hyper focus on the project plan, budget, timelines. What is often overlooked is how changes big and small impact people - at every level. AND this is still the major cause of failed change.
In this session we will explore the human side of change - from perspectives that people carry, the greatest challenges encountered and explore ways that we can improve success.
Presenter Bio:
Christine Pouliot is CEO and founder of Evocent Leadership Development. In her company she specializes in executive coaching for individuals and leaders who want to be better leaders, especially during times when the corporate environment becomes difficult, messy, and challenging. She brings over 30 years of experience as an IT Leader, working with global teams for a Fortune 20 company. Christine has led large organizations with more than 300 employees and contractors working across six continents. She has extensive global experience, including living and working abroad.
With first-hand experience in leading companies through significant organizational change, Christine knows that while organizational change is “the new normal,” the process is often more painful than it has to be. She works with organizations to alleviate that pain by shifting from a reactive to a proactive approach, so that the corporate leadership infrastructure is better prepared to address the many issues that arise in these challenging environments.
Christine’s specialties include working with individuals and leaders in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields, non-American-born leaders, leaders growing into a global or new stretch role, or simply supporting executives work their way through disruptive organizational change. She is also adept at providing guidance with respect to onboarding and general career transition.
Christine takes a very pragmatic approach to executive coaching, and, as a Minnesota dairy farmer’s daughter, long ago learned the value and importance of hard work. She is down to earth, deeply authentic, and loves a challenge: Simply stated, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty.
Christine has an Executive MBA certificate from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. She holds certifications from, The Co-Active Training Institute and the International Coach Federation, the largest professional organization for coaches. Christine is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council.
