SUMMARY:Engagement & Equity: What do the SE3 Survey Results Mean for Engineering in MN?
DESCRIPTION:The MNSEA SE3 Committee and ACEC/MN are proud partner to offer you this presentation series.\n\n\n\nThe Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SE3) Project was established with the mission of improving engagement and equity in the structural engineering profession in order to provide meaningful input on improving both of these metrics within the industry. In 2018\, the SE3 Committee administered their second nationwide survey of employee engagement and gender equity in the structural engineering industry. The presenters will share the results of the survey\, and lead a discussion on how these results impact the employee engagement\, retention\, and equity in the engineering profession as a whole in Minnesota.\n\n\n\nPresenters:\n\nLindsey Lyrenmann\, SE Lindsey Lyrenmann is a structural engineer at Meyer Borgman Johnson\, where she focuses on projects in the multi-family residential and higher education sectors. She was a founding member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California's (SEAONC) Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SE3) Committee prior to moving to Minnesota. She is currently an active member on the National Council of Structural Engineering Association's (NCSEA) SE3 Committee\, whose main task is to administer a biennial\, nationwide survey of structural engineers.\n\n\n\nLaura Boyd - Laura Boyd has over 20 years of experience working with organizations to help them develop sustainable growth as organizations and the people within. She has been a leader on executive teams for large companies\, emerging companies and non-profits\, as well as\, a business owner. She believes Leadership is the ultimate Delta for change\, strategy and growth in an organization. She is now taking her years of experience helping businesses become high performance organizations. Laura has her Masters in Organizational Leadership and certification in change management. \n\n\n\nUPCOMING EVENT: JULY 24th\, 2019\n\nThe next event in this series will feature a presentation by Mary-Margaret Zindren\, CAE of AIA Minnesota.
