Job Description
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position open for a civil engineer. Responsibilities include developing plans, specifications and estimates for preliminary and final design of highway projects including construction staging; resolving design problems associated with the geometric design of highways; assisting with QA/QC; leading roundabout, stormwater management, and conveyance system designs. Occasional travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university AND at least two years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or GEOPAK software; highway design principles (i.e. geometrics, grading plans, quantity estimates, pavement design, construction sequencing); Microstation software; stormwater management and conveyance system design; roundabout design. An EIT certification is also ideal.
