Jacob Schuster Earns Professional Land Surveyor License in Minnesota

KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ) is pleased to announce that Jacob Schuster, based in the company’s Eagan, Minn., office, has earned his Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the state of Minnesota. 

Schuster is a Senior Survey Crew Chief with more than eight years of experience in land surveying. He has extensive experience conducting boundary and topographic surveys, drafting easement exhibits, and performing ALTA surveys. He also writes legal descriptions for a variety of projects, including transmission lines and solar energy development. Schuster earned his bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

The process of obtaining a Professional Land Surveyor license in Minnesota involves rigorous standards, including passing the Principles and Practices of Land Surveying (PSLS) exam and a State-Specific Land Surveying Examination. Applicants must also meet substantial educational and professional experience requirements, such as completing a board-approved degree or gaining extensive field experience under the supervision of a licensed surveyor. Schuster met these criteria and along with years of professional experience, he is equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle complex land surveying projects.
