KLJ Welcomes Five New Employees in Minnesota
Bismarck, ND – December 17, 2025 –
KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ), is pleased to announce that Olivia Crowell, Claire Fienup, Taylor Martin, Austin Teslow and Byron Perkins have joined the company's Minnesota team.

Crowell joins the Transportation group as a designer, bringing six years of experience on large-scale public infrastructure projects, including storm sewer, culvert, and erosion control design. She is skilled in Open Roads Designer, Geopak Drainage, HydroCAD, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and MIDS. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Fienup joins the Transportation group with four years of experience in civil engineering. Her background includes preparing design plans and cost estimates for state and county projects, developing preliminary layouts, and creating conceptual designs for system-to-system interchanges. She earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Infrastructure from the University of Iowa.

Martin joins the Transportation group as a civil engineer, bringing more than four years of experience in designing and developing infrastructure for both public and private projects. His background includes private site civil design as well as major public infrastructure work, including roadway design, utility design, grading and erosion control, and drainage design. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Perkins joins the Construction group as a construction technician brining more than a decade of experience to KLJ. His background includes serving in the U.S. Navy and working with local government clients. His expertise includes HVAC building inspections, heavy equipment operation, and construction quality assurance & quality control (QA/QC). He’s earned various certificates including construction management, construction QA/QC, building inspector and business management certificates from North Hennepin Community College.

Teslow joins KLJ’s Cultural Resources group as an archaeologist. His experience includes guiding military aircraft and maintaining naval vessels, as well as training new recruits for divisional readiness. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
