KLJ Welcomes Eight New Employees in Minnesota

Bismarck, ND  – October 10, 2024 – 
 
KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ), is proud to announce the addition of eight new employees in Minnesota. Angie Bolstad, Rick Devorak, Andrew Helmers, Andrew Kayfes, Greg Olberding, Evelyn Ostrowski, Cedric Ramos, and Lucy Theile are the latest additions to the team.

Bolstad joins KLJ’s Transportation Group as a client relationship leader based out of Eagan, Minn. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota and North Dakota with more than 13 years of experience in transportation engineering and planning. Bolstad's strong focus on public engagement and technical communication has fostered meaningful relationships with a variety of governmental clients. Her expertise in transportation planning includes leading MnDOT project management training and developing a comprehensive statewide training program. She earned her BS degree in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota.

Devorak joins the Environmental Group as an environmental specialist in Eagan, Minn. He brings more than four years of experience in hazardous materials surveys, emergency spill response, and environmental monitoring to KLJ. His expertise includes asbestos remediation, hazardous waste collection, site remediation, and environmental compliance. He earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Bemidji State University.

Helmers was hired as a civil engineer with the Hydraulics Group in Eagan, Minn. He brings more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering, including project management for state and county highway projects. He has a proven ability to lead complex design efforts, performing drainage design and analysis, and coordinating utility processes for transportation projects. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Carlson School of Management.
 
Kayfes joins the Transportation Group as a CAD technician based out of Eagan, Minn. He has more than eight years of experience in engineering and water treatment operations. Kayfes possesses expertise in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, collaborating effectively with contractors and co-workers to ensure compliance and quality. He has extensive knowledge of engineering software, to create construction plans. He earned his associate of applied science in land surveying/civil engineering from St. Cloud Technical and Community College.
 
Olberding joins as a transportation planner with the Public Engagement and Planning Group based out of St. Louis Park, Minn. Olberding has more than five years of experience in transportation planning and data analysis, specializing in zero-emission vehicle deployment and bus rapid transit (BRT) planning for public transit agencies. He has contributed to various transit planning projects through GIS mapping, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. Olberding earned his master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Ostrowski joins the Environmental Group as an environmental specialist at the St. Louis Park, Minn. office. She brings more than two years of experience in environmental analysis, compliance, and field surveys to KLJ. Her background includes experience in both fieldwork and laboratory settings, conducting surveys, and identifying species while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Ostrowski is knowledgeable in state and federal environmental regulations and best management practices. Ostrowski is a member of the Entomological Society of America, the Minnesota Wetland Professionals Association, and is Wetland Specialist Certified. She earned a bachelor's degree in conservation and environmental planning from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Ramos was hired as system administrator with the IT Group based out of Eagan, Minn. He has experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues. His expertise includes setting up and deploying workstations and mobile devices while maintaining compliance with security protocols and managing inventory of hardware and software licenses. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and information systems from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
 
Theile is a civil engineer with the Transportation Group in Eagan, Minn. She brings more than five years of experience in environmental science and water treatment to KLJ. She has managed environmental systems, performed water quality analyses, and assessed potential health and environmental impacts. She earned her bachelor's degree in Earth and environmental sciences from the University of Illinois.
