KLJ Names New CEO

Bismarck, ND – July 19, 2024 – KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ) is pleased to announce that Kurt Zmich, PE, current COO and Acting CEO, has formally accepted the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of KLJ.

Zmich joined KLJ in 2022, with multiple years of executive leadership experience in the AEC industry. He is looking forward to leading and supporting KLJ’s growth. As KLJ’s COO, Kurt led the Operations Team through a restructure and series of operational improvements which created alignment and efficiencies across the company. “Kurt is an excellent leader with significant operational skills and, importantly, a strong focus on critical strategic growth initiatives. His past successful experiences as KLJ COO and Acting CEO will serve him well in his new role as President and Chief Executive Officer of KLJ,” said Board Chairman, Dan Bayston.

Zmich is located in KLJ’s St. Louis Park office. KLJ has 25 physical office locations, most recently adding a location in Alburquerque, NM. The Company has a strong history and continues to grow. This transition takes place as part of the CEO search started in January of this year.
