Sambatek Welcomes Frank Brodeen as
Water Resources Group Lead for the Public Sector

Minnetonka, MN – Sambatek is excited to announce that Frank Brodeen, PE, has joined the company as Water Resources Group Lead for the Public Sector. Frank brings over a decade of civil engineering experience, with a strong background in water resources, stormwater management, and project delivery for public-sector infrastructure improvements.

Frank will oversee water resources projects in his new role, focusing on enhancing project delivery, streamlining permitting processes, and leading multidisciplinary teams to solve complex stormwater and drainage challenges. He is passionate about creating solutions that improve community safety and sustainability and is excited to collaborate with a dedicated team that delivers high-quality results to clients.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Frank to Sambatek,” said Ben Lodin, Public Practice Leader. “His cross-industry water resources experience, focus on collaboration, and commitment to client satisfaction make him a valuable addition to our growing water resources group. Frank will complement the team’s leadership by focusing on managing people and workloads, while other leaders continue to drive technical expertise and innovation within the group.”

Frank’s experience includes work at the city, county, and state levels as well as private residential and commercial development projects. He has extensive expertise in preliminary and final design for linear infrastructure, storm sewer design, and regulatory coordination.

Before joining Sambatek, Frank held project management and engineering roles at Widseth and SRF Consulting Group. Frank’s most impactful career accomplishment was contributing to the stormwater management design for a pedestrian underpass beneath Trunk Highway 212 in Norwood Young America. His stormwater modeling and design helped mitigate an existing flooding issue, and the project ultimately provided the community with a safe crossing point.

Frank is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Minnesota and brings more than five years of licensure experience to his new role. In addition to his professional licensure, he has completed specialized training in designing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for construction sites, equipping him with technical expertise to support environmentally responsible development and ensure regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with such a skilled and well-rounded team at Sambatek,” said Frank Brodeen. “The company’s commitment to quality work and meaningful client relationships resonates with my approach to engineering and project leadership.”

Please join us in welcoming Frank Brodeen to the Sambatek team!
