Stantec Grows its North Central Planning and Design Expertise

Erin Perdu, AICP has joined global design firm Stantec as the Planning Group Leader in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As part of this role, Perdu will manage planning projects as well as a growing team of planners and designers based in the North Central Region. Perdu is a Senior Urban Planner with 22 years of professional planning experience in both the public and private sectors. She has worked as a staff planner and Community Development Director for multiple municipalities, with a focus on communities in the Twin Cities metro region and Southeast Michigan. Throughout Perdu’s career, she has demonstrated a sustained trajectory of innovation and leadership. She served as the project manager and lead planner on comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances, and small area studies. Perdu works under the philosophy of “planner as partner,” helping residents and community leaders articulate their goals, and then reach desired outcomes through available tools and best practices. She also serves in leadership for both the national American Planning Association and the Minnesota Chapter. Perdu holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth Systems from Stanford University, a Master of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan. She holds credentials from the American Institute of Certified Planners. Perdu joins Stantec during a time of growth for the firm’s North Central planning practice. Stantec recently promoted Midwest Planning and Design Team Lead, Beth Elliott. Elliott has been with Stantec for more than three years and has been involved in many highly successful projects in Minnesota and across the country. With their combined expertise, Stantec is poised to provide fresh ideas and a dynamic approach to new projects in Minnesota and beyond.
