Stantec Welcomes Becca Hughes

Stantec has hired Becca Hughes, AICP to join its Minneapolis office as a Senior Transportation Planner. Hughes has more than 20 years of urban planning and project management experience, including working for the last 18 years as a planner for the City of Minneapolis in transportation, land use, urban design, preservation, and environmental planning. With her extensive expertise and key leadership skills, she will mentor transportation planning staff and act as the lead project manager for transportation planning projects. She will also collaborate with Stantec’s transportation, municipal engineering, and community planning teams to provide transportation planning solutions for a variety of public sector clients.

Hughes has led and collaborated on a variety of planning initiatives including complete streets capital projects, bus priority/transit advantage projects, light rail transit alignment/station area plans, transportation planning studies, cooperative planning projects, policy work, as well as numerous TOD development projects. She has also presented at several conferences throughout the Twin Cities metro area, as well as out of state at the ITE International Conference in Austin, TX and the Nacto Designing Cities Conference in Toronto, CA. Hughes has a master’s degree in Public Affairs with an emphasis in Transportation Planning from the University of Minnesota.
