Description
This presentation will discuss moveable concrete barrier and how it can be used to help increase mobility and positive protection in work zones. Moveable barrier can accelerate construction through the elimination of stages or entire construction seasons while reducing congestion and increasing safety for workers and motorists. For permanent applications, moveable barrier is used in areas with a tidal traffic flow to create managed lanes that borrow unused road capacity from the off-peak direction and redistribute that capacity to peak-traffic direction.
Attendees will learn about the following:
- Construction Applications
- Case Studies demonstrating the uses of Moveable Barrier
- Managed Lanes
- Future Flexibility
