Description
Session Description: Collaboration and teamwork have always been integral to the design and construction process, yet there is an ever-increasing demand for better results, be they driven by client or the firm itself.
Design complexity, construction quality, difficult schedules, rapidly changing technologies, tight budgets, and challenging design/construction processes all contribute to the stress and strain of creating extraordinary projects for clients, while remaining profitable and humane throughout the life of the project.
Utilizing the teamwork model of Patrick Lencioni as a basis for presentation and discussion, participants will gain insight on the five principles that will maximize extraordinary results for any team.
Learning Objectives: Learn about the foundation principle of personal and team relationships, and why it is so critical to success.
Understand the Five Dysfunctions of a Team (Patrick Lencioni), and how they prevent teams (and organizations) from maximizing their success.
Recognize how individual personality type impacts team dynamics and tips to manage personal and team behaviors.
Participate in a group discussion on successes and failures of teams, and chart characteristics of successful teams.
