We’ve all heard the adage: if you’re failing to plan, you’re planning to fail. Through this seminar, Jason Tarasek will educate you on how to best prepare for the worst-case scenario: a payment dispute. You will learn the fundamentals of: (1) mechanic’s liens; (2) payment bond claims; (3) statutory provisions that protect your payment rights; and (4) common contract clauses that can significantly alter your negotiating leverage in the event of a payment dispute.
Presenter: Jason C. Tarasek is a construction attorney at Larkin Hoffman and a member of the ACEC-MN Board of Directors. For nearly 15 years, he has advised his clients on matters relating to construction contracts. As a litigator, he has learned the contract terms that are the most beneficial for his clients when a dispute arises.
