Description
The use of Twitter for online marketing has been hit or miss in the AEC industry. Many public entities, including departments of transportation, have taken to using Twitter to keep people informed about construction projects, road closures and weather-related traffic conditions. Some AEC firms have found it to be a valuable platform to showcase projects, the expertise of their people or attract media interest, but far more firms haven’t found a workable strategy for Twitter.
In this session, social media expert Rachel Gold from Ingenuity Marketing Group will present a few distinct strategies and case studies for engineering firms who want to have a stronger Twitter presence. We’ll explore the pros and cons of each. To help attendees really get a feel for how Twitter works, we’ll hold an interactive scavenger hunt that requires attendees to use Twitter to find the scavenger hunt items both online and offline. Playing the game will help attendees understand hashtags, searching Twitter, re-Tweeting, direct messaging through Twitter and more. Attendees will learn:
- How to choose a strategy that matches their firm’s culture and capabilities
- How to measure what’s working and what isn’t
- Tactics used by from firms who have a strong Twitter presence
- How to integrate Twitter with other features of your online marketing
